Netcompany to digitalise the city of Oslo

​Netcompany has entered into a framework agreement with the Oslo Municipality’s newly established Agency for Digitalisation and will support its work to provide Oslo’s 750,000 residents with better and more coherent digital services. The agreement has a value of up to NOK 540 million.

Netcompany has been awarded a framework agreement with the Agency for Digitalisation for the management and further development of digital services for Oslo Municipality’s employees and residents. The agreement has a maximum value of NOK 540 million (48.5 mill. EUR).

Netcompany will help the Agency for Digitalisation build a platform and shared services that are scalable and efficient, and that support a modern, secure and coherent digital municipality for residents and employees of Oslo.

The Agency for Digitalisation in the City of Oslo was established on January 1st this year and brings together digitalisation and IT expertise from Oslo Origo and the Agency for Development and Competence. The agency is tasked with ensuring that technology leads to tangible improvements in resident services and work processe.

»There will be twice the number of 80-year-olds in Oslo in 2040 than there is today. Already the average number of visits one home health nurse is 11 per day. It is not possible to double that number, we need digital solutions to solve the problems the demographic changes of the future,« says Harildstad.
