Efficient evaluation and compensation for workplace injuries

For Labour Market Insurance (AES) in Denmark, Netcompany has replaced the institution’s old injury claim management platform with an efficient, modern and customer owned, legacy-free platform. The platform is based on Netcompany’s platforms AMPLIO and GetOrganized (ECM).

AES is a part of ATP (Labour Market Supplementary Pension). AES’ most important task is to make impartial and correct decisions under the Danish Workers’ Compensation Act. Every year, AES handles about 60,000 claims where people have been injured or become sick in the workplace.

AES handles workers’ compensation claims by gathering and assessing all relevant information required for the processing of a workers’ compensation claim. The old claim management platform was an outdated legacy platform built in 1991 which had become too cost-intensive and was not living up to modern standards of case management efficiency. From 2008 until 2012, AES tried to build a new system, but the project failed.

Netcompany was chosen to deliver the complete modernisation of the platform based on new case management processes.

The new platform has provided AES with a unified, flexible and legacy-free solution supporting their case management processes in, among other things, occupational injuries, occupational diseases and private matters, as well as document management and self-service features.

The system is based on Netcompany’s Govtech solutions AMPLIO and GetOrganized (ECM). The delivery model is structured around agile implementation with a high level of user involvement.

  • Modernised open case management platform, replacing the old legacy platform
  • More efficient case management
  • Agile transformation of customer IT organisation
  • Customer-owned platform
  • Out of vendor lock-in
