Are you ready to join the forefront of technology as a Lead IT Business Analyst for large scale Public Projects in Netcompany?  

Joining us as a Lead IT Business Analyst, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our highly skilled engineering teams working within large-scale transformation projects/products  (social security, taxation, customs) for the growing Public Sector business unit of Netcompany.

As a Lead IT Business Analyst you will: 

  • Provide leadership and guidance to business analysts, serving as a mentor and role model in their professional development
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government officials, to gather detailed business requirements. Analyze and document current processes, identifying areas for improvement and automation
  • Perform gap analysis and provide solutions, working closely with technical teams to ensure requirements align with the technology stack. Map user requirements to system capabilities. Lead backlog prioritization.
  • Conduct workshops and interviews to validate requirements and ensure stakeholder needs are understood. Create comprehensive BRDs, use cases, user stories, and functional specifications. 
  • Coordinate with the developers' team for software customizations. Monitor the implementation of software customizations 
  • Act as a liaison between customer stakeholders and communicate customer issues to the relevant technical teams 
  • Participate and/or lead the User Acceptance Test (UAT), support activities and act as a point of contact for the Customer’s Users 
  • Perform Unit & Integration Tests on software customizations and custom development 
Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree in these areas and advanced certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO) are highly desirable
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst 
  • Experience with large-scale software implementation projects, preferably within the public sector or taxation domain
  • Proven ability to gather and document complex business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications
  • Knowledge of RDBMS concepts (data modelling, Entity Relationship Diagrams) and experience in SQL for creating queries (either in Oracle or PostgreSQL) 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical requirements 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and government officials, to drive project success.
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring that all requirements and user stories are accurately documented and communicated

It would also be a plus if you match some of the following:

  • Familiarity with the concept of microservices, RESTful web-services and asynchronous systems communication approaches (Apache Kafka, JMS Queues) will be considered as an asset 
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and Business Rules Management is an asset 
  • Familiarity with public sector processes, regulations, and taxation, social security, customs systems is a strong plus. 
  • Experience in a Product Owner or similar role is a plus
